After a real avalanche of Dow Theory relevant events in the last few days, today it has been a relatively calm day. So I’ll endeavor to keep this post on this Dow Theory blog short.
Stocks were neutral today. The Industrials were mildly down today. The Transports closed down by some cents, and the SPY closed mildly up.
Volume was neutral to bearish. Since the SPY was up and volume was clearly lower than yesterday’s, it has a bearish connotation. The picture of volume remains overall bearish.
In the precious metals’ universe only silver managed to close up. Gold and the miners ETFs closed down. Technically, nothing changed. The primary trend remains bullish and the secondary trend bearish.
